Rigorous Fact-Checking Workflow

Accuracy is the bedrock of credibility. Readify News maintains a multi-tier editorial review process designed to verify claims, statistics, quotations, and historical context prior to publication.

1. Verification Methodology

Our dedicated fact-checking and research desk cross-checks all factual assertions against verified primary sources, official public registers, peer-reviewed scientific studies, and verified statistical databases.

• Quantitative Data: Economic data, polling figures, and scientific measurements are verified directly against source registries (e.g., central banks, national statistical agencies, academic repositories).
• Quotations: Direct quotations are verified against recorded transcripts or authenticated audio/video files. Paraphrasing is carefully reviewed to ensure original context is preserved.
• Visual Verification: Satellite imagery, digital photographs, and video clips are scrutinized to detect AI-generated artifacts, synthetic manipulations, or out-of-context re-use.

2. Transparent Corrections Protocol

Despite meticulous care, errors may occasionally occur. When an error is identified, we act swiftly and transparently to correct the record.

• Substantive Corrections: When a factual error affects the substance or meaning of a story, the article is updated promptly, and a prominent Correction Notice is appended at the top or bottom of the article detailing what was changed, why, and the date/time of revision.
• Clarifications: If an article is factually accurate but lacks necessary context or could lead to ambiguity, a clarification note is added explaining the expanded context.
• Retractions: In the rare event that a story fails our foundational standards of evidence or proves fundamentally flawed, the article will be formally retracted with a full public statement from the Editor-in-Chief.

3. How to Report an Error

Readers who detect a potential error are encouraged to notify our editorial standards committee at [email protected] with the article URL, specific sentence, and supporting documentation.
